Power of the Prime: Predaking

A piece I am ecstatic to be adding to my vast Transformers collection is the Predaking.  While some may balk at the $160 price tag, this toy is worth every penny.  Predaking is an all in one combiner set featuring five voyager class Predacon figures.  Divebomb (Falcon), Headstrong (Bull), Rampage (Puma), Tantrum (Rhino), and Razorclaw (Lion).  All 5 Decepticons change between animal and robot modes, and can combine to form the massive Predaking standing over 18 inches tall.  The individual toys have great articulation, but the real winner is the combined form.  Super posable and extremely well designed, Predaking is truly the king of combiners.  A few fun side facts about the Predaking are that his original design in the 80’s was created by Tsuyoshi Nonaka.  He designed the first two Megazords for the Power Rangers franchise after leaving Hasbro.  The shared aesthetics are clearly visible.  Also in the current cartoon, Transformers: Power of the Primes, Predaking is voiced by WWE wrestler Somoa Joe.  A few pieces come out every year that really gets the kid in me spaztically excited.  Predaking is that toy right now.
