How you can support The Nerd Cantina

We have been working hard for almost a year now to bring you content the nerd community could appreciate and we can be proud of. We feel we have been successful in doing so. Many people ask how they can support our efforts and feel as if they are a part of the Cantina themselves. As we feel just reading the articles we write or listening to the show is a major contribution to our success and growth, many are looking for other ways to support the site and show. I will go over a few ways our audience can contribute even further to our success.

Social Media Sharing: Exposure is extremely helpful in growing our brand. Every social media outlet has algorithms as to what users see. Sharing the posts from our official social media outlets helps optimize those algorithms so that more of the potential audience gets exposed to our content. The more likes, comments and shares on any post help push that content out to a wider audience and may expose us to some that may not know we even exist.

Follow and Subscribe: Numbers matter. As we reach out to companies and possible interview candidates, many look at our numbers to gauge whether it’s worth their time or not. This is where our follower numbers truly matter. A way you can help is by encouraging your own audience to follow us on all our outlets. We all get the notifications to join in on some social media game or cause. Some you ignore and others you may engage with. They can be a nuisance at times but it is still a key way to expose The Nerd Cantina to a wider audience that may know nothing about us. A quick tweet or Instagram post stating how your followers may benefit from following us can do a lot to grow our brand. While on Facebook you can click the invite friends button and bravely click the select all button. As our numbers grow it opens up countless opportunities to us that will ensure we are bringing you the best content possible.

Engage: Website activity is important to show viewer engagement. On every article there is a comment section and a forum to coincide with the article. On any review there is also a section for you to give us your personal rating. By engaging with any of these mediums you prove viewer engagement which helps us with Google searches and proves to advertisers we are worth their advertisement. So after reading a review or listening to a podcast, engage with us and start a conversation on how you feel about whatever content interests you.

Purchase Merchandise: Another way you can support our efforts is by wearing our brand. We have recently rolled out a tee shirt shop where we have a small selection of designs at the moment but are constantly coming up with new designs. Not only will you be letting everyone know you are a major supporter but a small percentage of each shirt sold goes to fund the costs of operation and will upgrade the level of production. Every dollar earned lights a small fire that drives us to continue our journey and lets us know that you really believe in what we are doing and enjoy it. You can find our shirt store by clicking here or by clicking the merchandise tab on the site. We will be adding other merchandise as we continue to expand our brand.

Use Affiliate Links: Anytime we review a product we also post links to purchase that product. These are affiliate links that help earn us a small percentage of the purchase. So if you read a review and decide that you would like to own that product we ask if you could use our affiliate links to purchase that product. This shows our affiliates that we are driving traffic to their site and helps The Nerd Cantina become profitable. In no way should you feel obligated to purchase an item, however, if you are going to make a purchase you can do so in a way that supports our efforts.

Patreon: Lastly, the most generous way to show your support is on Patreon. For those that do not know what Patreon is, it is a site where you can subscribe to financially support our efforts. Some “tiers” are merely donation levels that offer no perks, and other higher tiers will have perks associated with their monetary level. You can choose to donate 1 or 5 dollars a month as a thank you for providing what you see as worthy content. There is a 10 dollar tier that will be receiving a mini swag reward every 3 months and we will soon be offering a 20 dollar tier with rewards worthy of a subscription that high. Monetarily supporting our efforts is not something we take lightly. To say we appreciate it is a vast understatement. Having that level of support from our audience will ensure that we have the funds to continue our efforts and constantly improve our quality. You can find our Patreon page with this link, https://www.patreon.com/thenerdcantina.

From everyone at The Nerd Cantina we can not thank our audience enough. We truly enjoy doing this, but it can be costly work at times. Having the support of our fan base makes it all worth it. How ever you are able to show your support is greatly appreciated. We look forward to continuing this journey with you and growing a brand we can all be proud of.

About: Steve Vingua

I started this site because I love to share my opinion on many nerd subjects and found that often times I am sought out by friends to give my perspective. I started writing movie reviews and found it very therapeutic to put my thoughts out there. With some encouragement from my brother, The Nerd Cantina was born.
