Slobby's World: A Netflix Nostalgia Show
Quote from Steve Vingua on February 25, 2019, 12:01 pmSlobby's World is if I Love the 90's met Pawn Stars. Although Slobby Robby loves his knock off designer clothes and sportswear from the 90's, you can't have a 90's vintage (it pains me to use those terms together) store without the comics, video games and cartoons that dominated that decade. Slobby takes you into the new age of vintage, that as a father nearing 40 now understands how my father felt when bell bottoms came back in style. Watching Slobby's World is a walk back down your high school hallway, or for our younger readers, will have you at grandmas house looking for scraps grandma and grandpa might have from your parents youth. As you recognize much of the swag and apparel that he is marking up, you begin to regret every garage sale your family ever had. Watching it was a fun ride through memory lane and a very informative journey through past fashion trends and origins.
Slobby's World is a 30 minute format so it is perfect for binging. Watching every episode in one day was easily done on a lazy laundry day. The shop characters are interesting enough to keep you entertained and Slobby himself is a goldmine for memes and gifs. The combination of comedy mixed with nostalgic feels make hitting the "Are you still watching?" button a pretty easy decision. Slobby's store, Generation Cool, is located in Tuscon so if you cant make it there in person this is a fun way to be a part of it. You may have a local version around you, if not, then you will start looking at your local thrift stores a lot differently. Take a trip down memory lane thanks to Slobby Robby and Generation Cool.
